What is ADSS cable?

ADSS-All Dielectric Self Supporting optical cable provides a fast and economical transmission channel for power communication systems due to its unique structure, good insulation and high temperature resistance, as well as high tensile strength. Generally speaking, ADSS fiber optic cables are cheaper than OPGW in many applications and are easier to install. It is advisable to use power lines or nearby towers to install ADSS optical cables, and in some places, the use of ADSS optical cables is even necessary.
The main uses of ADSS optical cables are:
(1) By using it as an introduction and extraction optical cable for OPGW system relay stations, based on its safety attributes, the problem of power isolation can be effectively solved when introducing and extracting relay stations.
(2) Utilize it as a transmission optical cable for fiber optic communication systems in high-voltage (110kV-220kV) power grids. Especially in many places, it is very convenient to utilize it when renovating old communication lines.
(3) Apply it to fiber optic communication systems in 6kV~35kV~180kV distribution networks.
