GYXTW Central Loose Tube Light Armored Outdoor Optical Cable

GYXTW is a fully water-blocked central loose tube optical cable with parallel steel wire strength members and PSP steel tape armor. Equipped with UV-resistant PE outer sheath, it features outstanding tensile and crush resistance, reliable waterproof performance and wide temperature adaptability. Suitable for aerial, pipeline and shallow direct burial applications, widely used in FTTH, metropolitan network, monitoring and CATV transmission. Flame retardant low-smoke zero-halogen model GYXTZW is available for indoor-outdoor transition projects.

· G: Outdoor telecommunication optical cable

· Y: PE outer sheath

· X: Central loose tube structure

· T: Fully water-blocked design

· W: Parallel steel wire strength members with steel tape armor

2. Cable Structure (From Inside to Outside)

1. 250μm colored optical fibers: G.652D, G.657A single-mode or 50/62.5μm multi-mode, fiber count: 2~96 cores

2. Water-blocking gel inside loose tube: Moisture isolation and fiber buffering

3. PBT loose tube: Anti-hydrolysis material to control fiber excess length and eliminate temperature stress

4. Water-blocking yarn & tape: Block longitudinal water penetration

5. PSP double-sided plastic coated steel tape armor: Moisture-proof, crush-resistant and mild rodent resistance

6. Two parallel phosphated steel wires: Symmetrically placed for tensile strength

7. Black PE outer sheath: UV-resistant, anti-aging, wide temperature range; flame retardant version: GYXTZW

3. Main Features

1. Excellent mechanical performance Combined protection of steel wires and steel tape delivers great tensile, crush and impact resistance. Compact and flexible structure prevents loose tube thermal shrinkage to protect fibers from long-term stress.

2. Multi-layer water-blocking performance Three-level waterproof design including tube filling gel, longitudinal water-blocking materials and steel tape, avoiding water spread along cable after partial sheath damage.

3. Wide environmental adaptability Operating & storage temperature: -40℃ ~ +70℃. PE sheath resists sunlight, acid and alkali, service life over 25 years outdoors.

4. Easy installation & cost-effective Small outer diameter and light weight reduce traction resistance during aerial and duct laying. Long delivery length cuts connector quantity, lower cost compared with stranded GYTA/GYTS.

5. Stable optical performance Single-mode attenuation: ≤0.36dB/km @1310nm, ≤0.22dB/km @1550nm; multi-mode meets Gigabit / 10G LAN transmission requirements.

· Bending radius: Static ≥10×cable diameter; Dynamic laying ≥20×cable diameter

· Laying method: Aerial, duct, shallow direct burial (not for heavy-load deep burial)

· Executive standard: YD/T 769

· Ordinary outdoor non-flame retardant: GYXTW (black PE sheath)

· Building, tunnel and indoor-outdoor transition: GYXTZW (LSZH flame retardant sheath)

· Heavy burial & severe rodent area: Choose double-armored GYTA53 instead
