CCOFC Double Sheath ADSS is an all dielectric, self supporting aerial optical cable with inner sheath + outer sheath dual protection. It features high mechanical strength, excellent electrical tracking resistance, UV resistance, corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance. It is specially designed for high voltage power corridors, long span and harsh outdoor environments.
1. Optical Fiber: Single mode G.652D/G.655, low attenuation for long distance & high speed transmission.
2. Loose Tube: PBT material, filled with water blocking gel to protect fibers.
3. Central Strength Member: FRP, bearing radial pressure.
4. Inner Sheath: PE layer, seals cable core and isolates aramid yarn.
5. Strength Member: Aramid yarn (Kevlar), rated tensile strength 3000–10000 N.
6. Outer Sheath: HDPE or Anti Tracking (AT) material, weatherproof and anti tracking.
· All dielectric, no metal, immune to EMI/RFI, safe for 110kV–500kV power lines.
· Double sheath design provides stronger protection against mechanical damage and electrical corrosion.
· Long span supported up to 200–600m.
· Excellent resistance to UV, salt spray, chemical corrosion, wind and ice.
· Stable transmission, supports 100Gbps+ high speed communication.
· Allows live line installation without power outage.
· High voltage power communication (110kV–500kV smart grid & substations).
· Long distance backbone transmission in mountains, riverside, coastal areas.
· Harsh environments: heavy icing, strong wind, high salinity, industrial zones.
· 5G base station backhaul & large capacity outdoor communication networks.
· Operating temperature: 40℃ to +80℃
· Tensile strength: 3000–10000 N
· Bending radius: Static ≥15×D; Dynamic ≥25×D (D = cable diameter)
· Sheath: PE / AT (for >110kV lines)
· Span: 200–600 m
· Use professional tension equipment; install within rated tension.
· Strictly follow minimum bending radius requirements.
· Use AT sheath for voltage >110kV to prevent dry band arcing.
· Regular inspection every 6–12 months for sheath, sag and accessories.
· Install lightning arresters in lightning prone areas.
