The GYFY outdoor loose tube layer stranded non-metallic optical cable involves inserting optical fibers into loose tubes made of high-modulus PBT material with internal water-blocking yarn. The center of the cable core is a non-metallic reinforcement core, and for certain fiber counts, an additional layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded around the non-metallic reinforcement core. The loose tubes (and filler yarns) are stranded around the central reinforcement core to form a compact circular cable core. Inside the cable core, water-blocking yarn and water-blocking tape create a dry water-blocking layer. The cable core is then sheathed with polyethylene (PE).
